Network Muse originally began when Connie Muse began part-time consulting work on an e-commerce project for the Pot and Bead retail store in April of 2003. BJ joined in August of 2003 and the partnership LLC was formed.
The first major contract was a referral from a former coworker for a network engineering consulting project as a subcontractor. Approximately 6 months later, the subcontractor was removed and Network Muse became the primary. This hourly project contract still exists and is a major source of revenue.
In the first quarter of 2005, Network Muse narrowed its focus to ip network security and engineering and began to select clients accordingly. Connie studied for and received her CISSP certification.
In its first 6 months offering network security services, Network Muse acquired 3 new network security projects/clients and performed 4 network vulnerability assessments.
Since that time, Network Muse has added the Managed Firewall Security Service to their offerings and has successfully deployed and maintained dozens of firewalls for clients in the DC metro area.
